The Native Tuulama Oromos (NTO) are one of the largest subtribes of the Oromo nation and are widely and vastly living in all parts of Oromia and around the world. However, they live in large numbers, and their ritual tradition is in their ancestorial homeland, Tuulamaa. This area was named Shawa by the Abyssinian Emperors who had enslaved the NTO peoples since the 14th century. The Native Tuulamaa Oromos (NTO) live in the center of Oromia and are bordered in the East by Afar, in the west by Maccaa, in the North by Agew and Wallo, and in the south by Arsi and other southern nations.

This long-term community networking and empowerment project will start in Finfinnee and extend across all four zones of Tuulamaa Land. Key initiatives include: Establishing a strong intellectual union. Forming associations for young girls and women. Creating a professional youth association. The region comprises four main zones: Silaalee, Hadaamaa, Walisoo, and Hambboo. Each zone will have a regional advisory committee of local traditional leaders to advise on community development, and a Board of Directors will be formed to incorporate local knowledge into strategic planning and funding decisions for development....
